On the occasion of the World Summit on Food Security (Rome, 16-18 November 2009), the City of Rome is hosting with the support of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and in coordination with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and World Food Programme (WFP) a Civil Society Forum on 14, 15 and 16 November 2009 to give key civil society constituencies their own platform to contribute to the Summit. A principal outcome of the Forum will be a joint statement to be presented to the Plenary of the Summit.
